Acceptable Use Policy

Neptune is a community-centered platform designed to foster authentic connection, trusted commerce, and mutual support. To protect the integrity, safety, and well-being of our network, all users are expected to engage in accordance with the following Acceptable Use Policy.

​Neptune is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. By accessing or using the Neptune FCN app and its services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

​By using the Neptune platform, you agree to this policy and acknowledge that violations may result in content removal, account warnings, suspension, or termination.

1. Respectful Conduct

You may not use Neptune to:

• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate others
• Post or share hate speech, discriminatory content, or incite violence
• Target individuals or groups based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected status
• Reveal personal or private information about others (doxxing) without their explicit consent.
• Promote, glorify, or trivialize violence, hate, or suffering based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status.

These expectations are further supported by Neptune’s ‘How We Engage Together, Network Guidelines (accessed in the Neptune FCN app)’, which outline how we show up, communicate, and co-create in alignment with Neptune’s values.

2. Content Standards

You may not post, share, or link to:

• Pornographic, violent, obscene, or excessively graphic material
• Content intended to deliberately mislead or manipulate the community, especially when it causes harm, fear, or undermines trust in the network
• False, deceptive, or misleading business or personal representations
• Anything that violates intellectual property laws or copyrights
• If you believe your copyrighted work has been used in a way that constitutes infringement, please contact us at neptunelife.org/contactus with a DMCA notice.
• Share health- or wellness-related content without clearly marking it as opinion, experience, or educational only, unless backed by verified sources.

3. Platform Integrity

You may not:

• Use bots, automated scripts, or scraping tools
• Collect user data without consent
• Impersonate another individual or entity
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or bypass platform controls
• Manipulate platform rankings, feedback, or visibility through fake reviews, coordinated campaigns, or artificial amplification.

4. Marketplace Conduct

Neptune’s Market is a curated directory, not a sales platform. You may not:

• Misuse vendor listings for unapproved promotions
• Claim false affiliation with Neptune
• Resell aid-based purchases or exploit the aid fund system
• Submit fraudulent or misleading aid applications

5. Community Spaces

You may not use community groups or forums to:

• Spam, self-promote excessively, or sell unrelated goods/services
• Engage in misleading or unethical marketing, including false claims, credentials, or affiliations.
  Spread false or harmful claims, especially those that incite fear, harm, or mistrust in alignment-based communities
• Violate the privacy of others by sharing personal or sensitive data
  Coordinate harmful behavior or mass reporting
• Post content designed to provoke or disrupt constructive conversation (“trolling”).

6. Compliance with Law and Platform Terms

Use of the Neptune platform is guided by your agreement to the following:

• Neptune’s Terms and Conditions
• Neptune’s Privacy Policy
• Neptune’s End User License Agreement
• Neptune’s How We Engage Together, Network Guidelines (accessed in the Neptune FCN app)
• All applicable local, state, national, and international laws

Neptune is open to members worldwide. All users, regardless of location, are responsible for ensuring their activities comply with applicable data protection, consumer protection, content moderation, and commercial laws in their jurisdiction.

7. Reporting and Enforcement

If you observe behavior that violates this AUP, please report it using the in-app reporting tool or email us at neptunelife.org/contactus.

Neptune reserves sole discretion to determine what constitutes a violation of this policy. Decisions to restrict or remove content or access may be made without prior notice if deemed necessary for the safety and integrity of the community.

8. Safeguards & Mutual Responsibility

At Neptune, we are committed to fostering an environment grounded in trust, integrity, and mutual respect. We ask all members to actively support a culture of accountability and shared responsibility. While we aim to address violations with thoughtfulness and fairness, we reserve the right to take necessary action to uphold the integrity and well-being of the community as a whole.

9. Policy Acknowledgment & Updates

By using Neptune, you agree to abide by this Acceptable Use Policy. We reserve the right to update or modify this policy at any time to reflect evolving laws, platform requirements, or community standards. Continued use of the platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
